‘Umbridge was actually right’: A Potterhead Discussion on Why Hogwarts Is the Opposite of the Safest Place on Earth

Even though we all love Harry Potter and truly believe it is one of the most magical tales ever told, we all know that some seriously questionable things happened during those seven years.

Sure, Dumbledore was a powerful wizard, but his sense of planning was flawed at the very least, and whether or not he even cared about Harry's safety is a question we all pose immediately after finishing the seventh book. Snape turned out to be a good guy, that's for sure, but does his sacrifice truly excuse how horrible he was to some of the students? And who thought it was a good idea to put a giant three-headed dog in the middle of a school filled with kids?

So, was Umbridge wrong when she said that things are far worse in Hogwarts than she imagined? Maybe not… Maybe it was time for someone to question Dumbledore's way of leading the school.
